Sources & Editorial Principles
資訊來源與編輯原則
Admissions information is only useful if it can be trusted. This page explains where items come from, how they are shown, what AI may and may not do, and what always requires a human check.
Each item keeps only what is necessary
Every admissions item shows only: the original title, the source name, the original date, a link to the original, one SAIL-written note, and the necessary category and deadline.
- No automatic copying of full texts or long excerpts
- No images or author photos taken from source sites
- No republishing of paywalled content
Source grades
- Grade A (official): Ministry of Education, CEEC, official admissions bodies, Common App, College Board, EducationUSA, Fulbright Taiwan, government and embassy education units — items may be created automatically; anomalies fall back to human review
- Grade B (education media & platforms): drafts are created automatically and published only after a moderator confirms
- Grade C (forums & personal content): never auto-published; used only as leads for human curation
Where AI may be used
AI may help: write the one-line Chinese note, detect country or region, suggest topic tags, estimate applicable grades, and flag possible deadlines.
- AI may never change or confirm: original titles, eligibility, deadlines, fees, exam rules, visa requirements, or legal and administrative rules
- Until a human confirms a high-risk field, the site shows: "For dates and eligibility, always follow the original official page."
Publishing & review
Moderators may directly publish general announcements, event recaps, daily tips, course introductions, and fully consented submissions; the Admin retains takedown rights.
- Eligibility, deadlines, visa and immigration, legal and lease, finance/tax/credit, and medical/insurance content requires confirmation by the Admin, an advisor, or a relevant professional before publishing
- Identifiable photos of minors and named alumni content are published only after consent is confirmed
Update schedule
The admissions feed checks for updates daily at 07:00 Taipei time; the site shows the last successful update time, not a guaranteed on-the-hour run.
